IT DevOps
The Role
MUFG Investor Services FinTech is looking for an IT DevOps to join the team. This role will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud-based and Internet accessible systems and services that support the core business functions of this global company. This is a role within this group and will be expanding and refining the responsibilities over time.
Job Responsibilities:
• Work with team to anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across the whole infrastructure.
• Develop, document, and maintain system training materials and systems documentation for educating support personnel and new staff.
• Monitor computer networks for security issues.
• To maintain and monitor adherence to quality standards and applicable regulations which includes but not limited to mandated requirements such as GDPR.
• Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption standards.
• Contribute to the design and implementations of the security setup of the cloud infrastructure.
• Identify risks and provide guidance regarding remediation of gaps to facilitate a hardened and sustainable cloud environment.
• Setup monitoring and audit processes for our cloud infrastructure.
• Support efforts for integration of infrastructure and business solutions with cloud environments.
• Act as support to troubleshoot security-related issues that come up and are escalated for resolution.
• Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before launch.
• Update existing policies and processes and design, create and implement new ones as needed.
• Deploy product updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise.
• Automate our operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements.
• Ability to code infrastructure via code using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Assist with general IT office related matters in coordination with the CTO and General Manager.
Qualifications/Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field.
• Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, AWS and Azure.
• Experience with database administration (preferable Postgres, MSSQL server)
• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
• Deep functional knowledge and hands on experience with databases administration.
• Strong grasp of backup and restore system.
• More than two years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role (or similar role); experience in software development and infrastructure development is a plus.
• Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.
• Experience with Ansible / Terraform / Docker / Jenkins / Gitlab CI / Zabbix.
