On behalf of our client, the fastest growing group of companies within the Shipping industry, with activity across Europe and with worldwide export power as well, we are currently looking for a Python Engineer, to join their IT Department in Greek HQs and to lead the company’s projects implementations.

Key Accountabilities

·         Building efficient server-side applications using Python

·         Software development and object-oriented design fundamentals

• Contribute to maintenance, integration, improvements, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms

·         Checking code from other developers and coaching junior team members
·         Exposure to Machine Learning
 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

·         BSc in Computer Science or related

·         Minimum 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with at least two (2) years current exposure in Python

·         Experience with relational database, SQL and Linux OS

·         Experience with Computer Science fundamentals (data representation/structures, algorithms) and with Test Driven Development (TDD)

·         Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation concepts

·         Knowledge of JavaScript, React, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud deployment technologies  will be considered as a plus

·         Excellent command of written and spoken English
