We are looking for a very talented and experienced web application developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will build incredible cross-platform mobile apps and games, being part of the full product cycle, making decisions and creating software that could potentially affect millions of people. We work both on client projects and our own internal applications. The successful candidate must demonstrate proven track record of developing enterprise-grade web front-ends and/or HTML5 games.

Requirements:

• BS or higher degree in computer science or similar field.
• Expert-level knowledge of Javascript and HTML5/CSS3.
• Excellent knowledge of Python. Familiarity with Django would be a plus.
• Sharp attention to detail and writing clean, readable, reusable code.
• Current on mobile, emerging technologies and best practices; eager to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• A proactive problem solver, organized, positive and calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Speaks fluent English.

Extra-points for:

• A public GitHub, Gitorious, Launchpad, etc. portfolio.
• Experience with HTML5 canvas and/or developing HTML5 games.
• Experience with responsive web design, mobile navigation patterns etc.

Η Ιρλανδική start-up εταιρεία - FieldAware - αναζητεί Python Νinjas για να ολοκληρώσει την ομάδα ανάπτυξης της. Ζητάμε pythonistas με πάθος για το προγραμματισμό και webapps, και προϋπηρεσία σε Python, Django ή Pylons 1.0 / Turbogears 2.0 ἠ άλλα web frameworks.

Start up company is seeking to employ an all around developer with professional experience in .NET, C# and Python application development (web and\or desktop) for a full time job in Athens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyzing, designing, developing & supporting innovative solutions (backend engines / frontend user interfaces/ web services)
• Maintaining existing technology solutions
• Working on pioneering projects from initial design through to production
• Keeping apprised of technology changes, advancements, trends and enhancements
• Suggesting & executing technical or procedural improvements & introducing new concepts & ideas.
• Training the less experienced team members
• Producing documentation & and testing frameworks

Qualifications Required:

• Very good knowledge and proven experience in Linux Server Administration (LAMP)
• Extensive experience in .NET
• Fluency in C#, Python & Javascript
• Strong experience with relational database systems such as MySQL & MSSQL
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Fluency in verbal and written English

Other Desirable Skills:

• Hands on experience in HTML5, XML, CSS
• Experience with PHP

Job description

The purpose of this work is to maintain and develop new modules to the existing applications WIPOSTAD, IPCPUB and NICEPUB, which satisfy the WIPO obligations. The new system will be developed using the existing technologies, including Django / Python with an Oracle backend.

Knowledge of PAM or CAST must be appreciated.

The work required therefore comprises:

• Understanding the processes to be implemented
• Design, based on requirements and analysis artefacts supplied by the System Analysts, improvements to the current system
• Design, based on requirements and analysis artefacts supplied by the System Analysts, new features of future versions of the system
• Perform the unit tests
• Write the technical documentation
• Ensure that all documentation required by procedures is available and consistent

Your Profile

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong Django/Python Development (4+ years), with hands-on experience and the following skills:
Mandatory Skills: Python, Django Framework, Oracle
Desired Skills: Knowledge of PAM / CAST Tools
Methodologies: Agile environment.
